    I want to fit in a size 4 dress, or I want to fit in my old pants are a little more specific, you still should have that exact figure in mind. If you have a long way to reach your goals, try doing it in steps. 

    Reaching smaller steps along the way will help you find motivation to work out, and keep with your program.

  2. Develop a good strategy to keep your motivation to lose weight and exercise.  A combination of diet and exercise must be used for effective weight lose, and to keep the weight off in the future. 

    If you were to just use a diet, you might be able to lose the weight, but you still wouldn't be in shape. We are trying to be at an ideal weight, while also obtaining a much higher level of physical fitness.

    You must not let your diet and exercise program deny you of other pleasures of life. You can probably still do most of the things you liked to do before, you might just have to do them in moderation.
